How do I install the Green Blind?

It's easy to install, just...

1. Unpackage the blind and place onto a stable and level surface.

2. Remove the 2 eye hooks taped onto the head of the blind.

3. Measure and mark up two locations to drill the head of the blind, on either side of the pulley device and at equal distance from the edge.

4. Drill the head of the blind at both marked locations and screw in the eye hooks firmly.

5. Measure and mark up your building façade, 25cm approximately above the glazing to align with the hooks on the blind. This will allow you to pull up the blind so that it sits above the window/door.

6. Source suitable stainless steel fixings to drill and fix onto the façade. If in doubt seek advice from a DIY store.

7. Hang the blind onto the wall or ceiling fixings.

8. Fix the cleat securely 1.5m above the floor. Cords must be secured in a figure of eight after each and every operation of the blind. Ensure all spare cord is securely contained on the cleat.

9. Optional for windows opening outwards. Fix 2 No. 35mm deep wooden batons on either side of the locking device to bring the blind forward and allow the window to slightly open.

9. To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep the cord out of the reach of young children. Cords may become wrapped around a child's neck.

Using your blind

It's easy to use, just...

Pull the cord to raise the blind and when operating from the outside; pull firmly to the left to lock in position, or pull to the right to unlock.

Operating the blind from the inside is the opposite; pull to the right to lock and to the left to unlock.

Ensure that the blind is firmly locked in place.

NOT SUITABLE FOR USE BY CHILDREN

Maintenance

We recommend that the blind is dusted and cleaned twice a year to maintain the appearance and light slots between the wooden slats.

  1. Unroll the blind
  2. Use a brush or hoover to remove the dust from top to bottom
  3. Hose down with a light spray and wipe dry with a cloth
  4. If the blind is very dirty - add a dash of vinegar to the water

Once a year check that the pulley cord is in good shape. They are expected to last between 5 and 10 years and can easily be replaced with replacement cords available by contacting us.
